International Journal of Intelligence Ethics

Table of Contents, Spring 2010

The International Journal of Intelligence Ethics (IJIE) is a semiannual, peer-reviewed journal devoted to normative aspects of intelligence operations. The journal publishes articles focusing on the role and operations of intelligence in support of national security. Articles discuss the justifications for obtaining intelligence and what may justifiably be done to collect and produce intelligence. IJIE represents a variety of academic disciplines and cultural backgrounds, and it seeks to include articles which adopt theoretical, empirical, or historical approaches.

IJIE is a primary source for multidisciplinary information and research on the role of ethics in its application to intelligence. The journal will focus, within both practical and theoretical frameworks, on the role of ethics in the full spectrum of intelligence activities, including collection, analysis, and covert action, from both a national security and a law enforcement perspective. It exists to promote intelligence ethics education and research, to encourage dialogue about professional standards in intelligence fields, and to provide cutting-edge research in intelligence ethics to the global intelligence community.
